  • First plant in Thailand and South East Asia to manufacture Furfuryl Alcohol (FA).
  • One of the most modern agrochemical plants in the world using corncob as raw material.
  • The plant purchases approx. 120,000 metric tons of corncob every year and converts what is otherwise an agricultural waste into a useful and environmental friendly product.
  • Generates 5-8 % extra income to around 30,000 farmers.
  • Fully automated operation. The plant is controlled by DCS (Distributed Control System) to ensure the optimum use of resources, optimise production and ultimately to achieve the best quality. 90% of the FA production is exported.
  • Quality Control is undertaken by modern laboratory equipment with latest analysis techniques, which guide the quality of the final product.
  • The corn cob residue which is a solid waste is used as a fuel in the boiler for generating steam and electricity for captive consumption.
  • In the Year 2000, a specially designed pollution free boiler (Circulatory Fluidised Bed boiler) was commissioned under the clean technology transfer program between the Governments of Japan and Thailand, further strengthening the Company’s commitment to a clean environment.
  • Engaged in research and development to promote use of Furfural as a nematicide in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Royal Thai Government.
